Primary Bathroom Renovation

When we bought our little 1968 home something I loved about the house was the beautiful charm and the details. I love that the home felt quality and it felt like home. One thing we discovered about the primary bathroom was that the space did not have a shower…it only had a bathtub. So funny!! My husband and I are quite tall 6’4” and 5’9” and tubs are not quite are thing on the regular and we just love showers….so we were going to need a shower. Even though we did love the charm the space was quite old and did need some updating. I wanted to keep the feeling of the space but update it. Let me show you some before photos.

As you can see…honestly…not bad!! However, you can see the tub situation with no shower. One thing we also wanted to do was take the door out and do a pocket door to allow more space in the restroom. This was something we learned from our last home. Doors can take up a lot of space in a small area like a bathroom. Here are some of our demo and in between photos during construction.

I absolutely love the marble tile flooring. It has a classic European touch to me (almost Parisian) and it’s one of my favorites! So for the finishing photos…here they are.
